Photography is my first passion, and likely the interest that ultimately led me to pursue a career in journalism. When I was 12, I saved all my allowance money for months to buy a small film camera. I took the camera to school every day and became known in my school for taking random photos all the time. Later I took a photography class in my teens, where I had a chance to process my own photos in a darkroom (good old times).
When I studied film and video production, my main focus was photography. I’ve also freelanced for a couple of years taking photos of events and doing posed photo shoots.
Currently, I take photos for almost every story I write for my job. I also love photographing my friends, family and the beautiful places I visit.
